The Hella centre of Excellence - Mining in Australia was created to develop specific mining products for the unique requirements of mining. The developement of lighting for mines requires a clear understanding of the operating systems and environmental conditions and Hella embarked on a globally extending research programme aimed at recording and measuring operating conditions of diverse range of mines and machinery. The collected data provides the basis for creating product designs and test specifications to satisfy the extreme demands of mining.
